Yesteryear Collection

In 1932, Henry Ford introduced the first mass-produced, low-cost V-8 engine. Although V-8 engines had appeared in prestigious automobiles before, never had they been available at such a low cost. With the new V-8 came the introduction of the Ford Model BB truck and the end of the classic Model AA. (Ford differentiated his trucks from his automobiles merely by doubling the letter). Beginning in 1928, the Ford Model AA became a stalwart vehicle in communities around the country. Used by families and businesses, farms and fire-brigades, the dependable Ford truck was a familiar sight on the ever-growing patchwork of American roads. Originally, the Model AA truck had an in-line, water-cooled, 4-cylinder, L-head engine. At its peak, it provided 40 horsepower. The Ford AA truck was available in a variety of body styles, many of which were customized for a particular use. Now the Clayton Grain & Feed truck has found a particularly unique use for the wide bed on its 1932 Model AA. The passengers who have hopped a ride on the back of the truck are a family of snow people who wish everyone the best of the season as they stand ready to sing their favourite Christmas carols. This unique limited edition model is produced by - and available exclusively from - Matchbox Collectibles, the greatest name in die-cast.

Limited edition of 9,500.
